TSH (Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone) regulates the production of T4 (thyroxine) and T3 (triiodothyronine) by the thyroid gland; these hormones control metabolism, energy levels, and overall growth and development in the body.

Primary Function:

<0.4 mIU/L (Low TSH indicates Hyperthyroidism )

>4.0 mIU/L (High TSH indicates Hypothyroidism)

0.4-4.0 mIU/L

Pathological Values:

Hyperthyroidism: Weight loss, palpitations, tremors, irritability, sleep disturbances, and diarrhea.

Symptoms/Pathology in Deficiency:

Symptoms/Pathology in Increase:

Hypothyroidism;Fatigue, weight gain, depression, cold intolerance, hoarse voice, and constipation.
