Pathological Values:
Symptoms/Pathology in Deficiency:
Low eGFR values may indicate reduced kidney function, which can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, swelling (edema), and high blood pressure. Chronic kidney disease can progress to kidney failure if not managed properly.
An increased eGFR is usually not a concern unless it is extremely high, which may indicate hyperfiltration, possibly due to early stages of kidney disease or diabetes.
